Studere
est Excellere (To Strive
Is To Excel)
"Studere
est Excellere"
(To Strive is to Excel),
the motto at George
S. Henry Academy, reflects
the attitude of the
students as they work
diligently towards academic
and personal excellence.
Henry serves a diverse
school community where
students, supported
by parents and dedicated
teachers, hold high
goals and aspirations.
Henry students pursue
an academic program
of studies with the
intention of progressing
to the world of work,
apprenticeship, college,
or university. At Henry,
we believe that each
student's personal,
intellectual and social
growth develops through
a rich and challenging
curriculum, including
math, science, the arts,
technology and the humanities,
as well as participation
in co-curricular activities.
Important

Student Success
The Student Success Department monitors all students deemed to be at-risk, in terms of academic or social progress. The department also assists students experiencing academic setback throughout the year by acting as an advocate between teachers, guidance, administration or other TDSB services. Under this umbrella are the credit recovery classes and credit rescue programs as well as the grade nine/ten transition tracking and Regesh Youth Services (RY) program. It is our desire to have students graduate on track with their peers. With the leadership of the Student Success teachers, the school works together to bring success to all in our community.
