Clubs
@ HENRY
George
S. Henry offers a wide
selection of clubs and
athletic activities
for all students. Some
take place before school,
others meet at lunch
time or after school.
As long as there is
student interest in
a club, and there is
a staff advisor, the
club runs!
George
S. Henry has over 30
clubs. Here are just
a few:
Environment
Club (a.k.a.
Green Team)
The
Green Team is a group
of students who care
about the world they
live in. They meet regularly
twice a week. They are
dedicated to helping
the environment by contributing
their time and effort.
Every Tuesday they pick
up the recycling bins
and they help with the
schoolyard greening.
Their motto is “Locally
and globally we make
a difference.”
Radio
Club
Students
involved in the Radio
Club learn how to create
basic radio productions
such as school announcements,
shows, audio clips,
and soundtracks for
special events. Through
this activity, they
learn useful and transferable
communication and technological
skills. The best productions
are uploaded to our
school's website, and
become available online
24 / 7 all over the
world for family and
friends, wherever they
are!
The Radio Club also
hosts a live music show
every Friday during
lunchtime.

Student
Newspaper
Starting
up a newspaper is an
enormous task and requires
superhuman effort from
a lot of people, but
thanks to the dedication
and hard work from all
members of the Newspaper
Club, Henry students
are able to enjoy a
newspaper that feature
stories from its own
school and community.
White
Pine Reading
As
the name suggests, White
Pine is for people who
love to read! Hosted
in the library, it’s
a great club to catch
up on reading, talk
to friends, and have
fun. White pine is an
award which is given
to the best Canadian
young adult novel as
voted by students.
